The pinewood derby is a Scouting tradition. This annual event for Cub Scouts is about spending time building a pinewood derby car from a kit provided by the Pack. The Cub Scout with the help of his parents build their own cars from kits containing a block of pine wood, plastic wheels and metal axles.
The Pinewood Derby experience is separated into three phases:
Phase 1: Share quality time with your Son building a car
Phase 2: Spend a morning racing a car the two of you built
Phase 3: Share a lifetime of memories
